We’re so excited to have you join us!  Here’s a little bit about what you can expect when you come on Sunday mornings.

What to Wear

You can just come as you really are.  At our church you’ll see most people wearing jeans and a shirt or something that’s not quite “business casual.”  Don’t feel like you have to put on a suit or tie, our own speakers and ministers rarely do!

Parking

To access our church’s parking areas, turn off Penn Avenue (route 601) onto Alley Street.  We have parking spaces along Alley Street as well as a parking lot next to the church building.

Children’s Ministry

We consider it a great blessing and honor to minister to some of God’s favorite people:  kids! All of our children’s ministry volunteers must pass multiple background checks and many of our volunteers also work as full time teachers when they’re not teaching at The Gathering. We have a nursery area for infants and toddlers and we also offer Sunday School for preschool age children through the 6th grade.  Kids are dismissed to their Sunday School classes as the worship music winds down and before the morning message begins.

Worship

We want to encounter and experience God’s presence, especially through music and when we gather together.  Our worship leaders and praise band help lead us into a deeper experience of who God is and what He has done.

Message

We place a high value on what God has spoken to us through His Word.  Normally, the speaker will read a passage of the Bible (we tend to use the New Living Translation) and teach from it.  You’ll probably see church members reading along in their Bibles or using a Bible app and some will even take notes to get the most out of what is being taught.
